Final Verdict

Global Site Tag Tracking offers a minimalistic approach to adding Google Tag tracking code, suitable for users who want a simple solution without additional analytics features. However, the plugin's unclear dependency on the WordPress Shortcode API and reports of it not working out of the box may frustrate less technical users. Its lack of advanced features and limited documentation make it less competitive compared to other alternatives.

Given the mixed user feedback and absence of a pro version, users seeking a more reliable and feature-rich Google Analytics integration might prefer exploring other plugins.
