What It Does

The Top Level Categories plugin allows you to remove the prefix before the URL to your category page. For example, instead of http://fortes.com/category/work, you can use http://fortes.com/work for the address of your 'work' category. This plugin works around the restriction that WordPress imposes by default, which adds 'category/' before the name of the category.

However, it is important to note that this plugin will not work if you have a permalink structure like '%postname' or '%category%/%postname%'. Currently, there is no workaround for these permalink structures.

To uninstall the plugin, simply deactivate it. That is all that is required!
