What It Does

Qi Addons for Elementor is the largest free library of custom and fully flexible Elementor widgets developed by one of the bestselling premium WordPress theme authors, Qode Interactive. The free version includes 60+ powerful custom widgets, while the premium version offers over 100 carefully designed Elementor addons.

This plugin provides a simple and streamlined way to create captivating websites using the Elementor Page Builder. With a vast collection of widgets, users can design diverse and beautifully crafted sections for their pages without any coding effort.

Each widget is fully customizable, allowing real-time edits to see changes on the fly. The toolkit is designed for top-tier performance, ensuring quick loading times and smooth configuration. Users can also enable on-demand widget loading to enhance page load speeds.

The premium version includes a Theme Builder module for crafting custom headers, footers, and more with additional widgets specifically designed for template creation. Comprehensive documentation is available to guide users through all features and options, along with a support team ready to assist.

Comparing to Alternatives

Qi Addons For Elementor competes in a crowded field of Elementor widget libraries. It stands out for its design-forward widget collection and tight integration with Qode/Mikado themes, though many rivals offer broader widget counts or more independent ecosystems.

Top alternatives

Strengths

Professionally designed widgets that look premium even in the free version
Smooth integration with Elementor and strong customization options
High overall satisfaction with responsiveness and visual polish
Responsive, praised customer support from the QODE team

Weaknesses

History of multiple contributor-level XSS and file inclusion vulnerabilities across versions
Some reports of heavy resource usage
Closely tied to Mikado/Qode themes, which can limit standalone appeal

User Sentiment Analysis

With 205 ratings and an overall score of 4.8/5, sentiment is overwhelmingly positive—89.8% five-star and only 2.9% falling into the 1-2 star range. Reviews consistently praise the plugin's design quality and Elementor integration, with negative feedback being rare and isolated.

Positive highlights

"Great plugin!" — gual
"Très complète, j'adore. Plein d'addons utiles et personnalisables. C'est le top!" — jessicadmy
"One of the best Elementor extensions I've had the chance to use... many are available in the free version, and their quality often surpasses even paid alternatives" — piotrkon
"Brings useful features to Elementor without needing to use Elementor Pro... always satisfied by the level of support" — NetDame
"Another excellent development by the Qode team. The added functionality is awesome" — Simone

Common complaints

Reports of buggy behavior and visual errors when used alongside Mikado themes, with support described as poor by one user

Weaknesses

A documented history of 9 known vulnerabilities, including a high-severity Local File Inclusion flaw and repeated Contributor+ stored XSS issues
At least one user reported significant resource consumption
Occasional friction when paired with specific themes rather than used standalone

Who Should Use This?

Best for

Users already invested in Qode or Mikado themes, or those seeking a visually polished widget library that delivers premium-looking design elements without needing Elementor Pro, will find strong value here. Designers who prioritize aesthetics and customization will appreciate the free tier's generous feature set.

Not ideal for

Sites requiring strict security hardening or those that allow multiple contributor-level users should proceed cautiously given the recurring history of XSS and file inclusion vulnerabilities. Users needing a theme-agnostic addon or lighter resource footprint may also want to look elsewhere.

Pricing & Value

Free version includes

The free version offers a substantial number of professionally designed widgets that reviewers say rival paid alternatives, with solid Elementor integration and customization options.

Pro version (49 - 89 USD / year)

A premium tier is expected to expand on the widget library, template access, and theme-bundled functionality, though specific premium feature details were not detailed in available data.

Final Verdict

Qi Addons For Elementor earns strong praise for its design quality, ease of use, and generous free feature set, reflected in its high 4.8-star average and minimal negative feedback. Compared to the many alternatives in this space, it differentiates itself through polish and tight integration with Qode/Mikado themes, though this same tie-in can be a limitation for users outside that ecosystem.

The plugin's security track record, however, warrants caution: nine recorded vulnerabilities including a high-severity file inclusion issue suggest a pattern worth monitoring, even though all have been patched. For most users, especially those keeping the plugin updated and controlling contributor access, this remains a well-regarded and capable addon—but security-conscious site owners should weigh this history against smoother-running alternatives before committing.
