Common complaints

Leftover data after uninstalling caused image settings to misbehave, appearing to corrupt the website

Weaknesses

A long list of 29 recorded vulnerabilities, mostly Contributor-level stored XSS issues, points to recurring code review gaps
Uninstall behavior has reportedly left residual data that disrupted site functionality for at least one user

Who Should Use This?

Best for

Elementor users seeking a feature-rich, well-supported free addon pack with a strong reputation for responsive customer service will likely be happy with this plugin. It suits site builders who value an active development team and a broad widget library without upfront cost.

Not ideal for

Security-conscious site owners managing multi-author sites with Contributor-level users should be cautious, given the plugin's recurring history of authenticated stored XSS and authorization vulnerabilities. Those wary of leftover data after plugin removal may also want to test carefully in staging first.

Pricing & Value

Free version includes

The free version is well-regarded, offering a wide array of usable widgets that multiple reviewers say cover most of their design needs without needing to upgrade.

Pro version (39 - 143 USD / year)

A premium tier typically unlocks additional advanced widgets, template kits, and extended customization options, building on the already substantial free widget library.

Final Verdict

Happy Addons for Elementor earns strong user loyalty through a generous free feature set and consistently praised support, reflected in its 4.8-star average across nearly 500 reviews. Users repeatedly single out named support staff for resolving issues quickly, which builds confidence in the team behind the plugin.

That said, the extensive history of medium-severity vulnerabilities—almost all patched but numerous over several years—along with at least one report of problematic uninstall behavior, means cautious users, especially those running multi-author sites, should keep the plugin updated diligently and evaluate alternatives if security history is a dealbreaker. Overall, it remains a solid choice for typical single-admin sites prioritizing features and support over a pristine security record.
