Who Should Use This?

Best for

Users building Elementor sites who want a feature-rich, free widget and template library without immediately paying for premium add-ons. It suits freelancers, small business owners, and hobbyists who value ease of use and a large design toolkit.

Security-conscious site owners, agencies managing client sites, or anyone running WordPress on infrastructure without prompt update discipline. Given the plugin's long and recurring history of vulnerabilities—including RCE and file upload flaws—sites that can't guarantee immediate updates face real risk.

Pricing & Value

Free version includes

The free version offers a substantial number of widgets and templates, several of which are often paywalled in competing plugins, making it strong value for basic to intermediate site builds.

Pro version (39 - 119 USD / year)

The pro version typically unlocks additional advanced widgets, expanded template access, and premium effects, though some reviewers note that certain pro widgets carry a notably higher price than comparable competitor offerings.

Final Verdict

Royal Addons for Elementor earns strong user goodwill thanks to its generous free feature set, lightweight performance, and helpful support—reflected in a 4.8-star average across 611 ratings with very few negative reviews. For everyday Elementor users wanting more design flexibility without upfront cost, it delivers clear practical value.

However, the plugin's security track record is a serious concern: 40 recorded vulnerabilities, including high-severity remote code execution and file upload issues, spanning a long and recent timeline. Given this history and the sheer number of close alternatives available, cautious users—especially those managing business-critical sites—should weigh the convenience against the discipline required to keep the plugin patched at all times.
