What It Does

WPvivid Database Snapshots allows you to quickly create snapshots of all tables in your WordPress database.

Making a database snapshot is much faster than making a database backup. If you need a quicker rollback solution for safely testing WordPress database-related changes, use a snapshot.

A snapshot contains database only. If you need to back up the full site or files, you can use our free WPvivid Backup Plugin.

This plugin enables you to create multiple snapshots, comment on a snapshot, set up retention for snapshots, and restore the database from a snapshot. More features are coming soon.

WPvivid Database Snapshots is created and operated with full respect and protection of users personal information, and is in full compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

FAQ

Making a snapshot is to create a quick copy of all tables of the current website in the database, while making a database backup is to use SQL statements to export the database to an individual .sql file. Therefore, a snapshot usually works as a quicker solution for short-term situations, for example, a quick rollback after doing database-related testings. While a backup is usually used for long-term data protection.
