Not reliable, and I have really tried
I honestly have tried with this plugin — I have a lifetime license and I won’t be using it anymore. I used to have an Updraft license and it simply worked, WPivid has so many quirks and workarounds that it makes you feel like you are working for the plugin, not the other way around. I tried to restore a (non-critical) backup on my local machine and it has been futile. If this had been an emergency, I would’ve had to rely on the hoster as this backup (cloud and local) have been literally impossible to restore. I have been using WordPress for 10+ years plus, I am happy to troubleshoot anything but I must admit I have given up with this. It will back up things, but don’t wait for disaster to try and recover….I would not rely on production sites for this, I’m going back to Updraft.

Excellent migration plugin — handled a large WordPress site when another plugin
I used WPvivid to migrate a fairly large WordPress/WooCommerce site, around 1.6 GB, from one hosting plan to another. I first tried Duplicator, but it failed because of my host’s server limits while trying to build the large archive. WPvivid handled the migration seamlessly by splitting the transfer into smaller parts. It even recovered automatically from a timeout and resumed without me having to restart the whole process. The migration included my pages, products, images, theme, plugins, WooCommerce settings, orders, payment configuration, and database. After restoring the backup on the new hosting plan, the site looked and worked exactly as expected. The interface is straightforward, the auto-migration feature worked very well, and the fact that this was available in the free version was especially impressive. For anyone moving a larger WordPress site and running into server limits with other migration tools, WPvivid is definitely worth trying. 5 stars.
