What It Does

Pixelgrade Assistant is a plugin designed to complement any free WordPress theme created by Pixelgrade. It significantly improves the experience of setting up your site.

This plugin provides various features including recommended plugins, a one-click import for starter/demo content, premium support access directly in your WordPress dashboard, and easy access to theme documentation. It also includes various functionalities and logic that a theme may require to perform at its best.

To access these benefits, your site must be connected with pixelgrade.com. This connection allows us to utilize our existing infrastructure to effectively serve users of our free themes. Final Verdict

Pixelgrade Assistant stands out due to its unique position without direct alternatives and a clean security record. However, the lack of user reviews and a pro version means potential users should proceed with caution and consider their specific needs carefully.

FAQ

No. Pixelgrade Assistant works fully without an account or a license. You can install the recommended free plugins, import starter content, and use the dashboard with no connection at all. Connecting an account is optional and only adds extras like cloud starter content and premium support.

Add this to a small plugin or your theme’s functions.php:

add_filter( 'pixelgrade/mcp/enabled', '__return_false' );

That is a full withdrawal rather than a locked door: the endpoint is never registered, so there is no route to reach, and no operation is offered to any caller. The rest of the plugin — the dashboard, Site Setup, starter content and the WP-CLI commands — is unaffected. The endpoint also stays completely inactive on WordPress older than 6.9 whether or not you use this filter.
