What It Does

WP-LESS is a plugin that implements LESS, a templating language built on CSS. It provides numerous enhancements that speed up development and simplify maintenance.

Theme developers can bundle this plugin without worrying about conflicts by including the special bootstrap-for-theme.php file and following its instructions.

Key features include variables, mixins for rule inheritance, nested rules for efficient coding, accessors to inherit values from specific rules, and functions for dynamic logic operations.

This plugin allows developers to focus solely on coding CSS while it manages everything else automatically, including cache management and user delivery.

For advanced usage, documentation is available on the GitHub project page. The plugin requires the use of the WordPress API and LESS conventions, specifically the .less extension, with minimal requirements of PHP 5.3 and WordPress 3.2.

It relies on Less.php and the plugin-toolkit. If you decide to stop using this plugin, it is safe to do so, but you will need to convert your stylesheets back to CSS.
