I used Amelia for nearly two years. I purchased a lifetime license for 5 websites, but unfortunately I was never able to get it working exactly the way I needed. In the end, I switched to Fluent Booking, which I now use regularly. It is much easier to set up, better integrated, and has a more modern dashboard and store experience. I would strongly suggest that the developers consider improving integration with other plugins, for example Fluent Products, Fluent Cart, and Fluent Community. At the moment, Amelia mainly focuses on integration with WooCommerce, but I personally don’t use WooCommerce because it is too heavy for my projects. While Amelia offers many features and a powerful dashboard, the design feels outdated and I sometimes struggle to find a practical use for all the available functions. In addition, updates seem to come quite rarely and the improvements are not very significant. This plugin has great potential, but in my opinion, it still needs more development, better modern integrations, and a stronger focus on user experience.

I’d love to give Amelia a full 5-star rating, but there are still a few rough edges, so for now it’s a solid 4 stars from me. The front end looks fantastic and is very flexible – there are lots of options you can tweak to get things looking and working exactly the way you want. I’ve been in touch with support several times (via chat and email) and, even though they don’t work weekends, they always come back with answers and genuinely try to help. In this world you need a bit of patience, and knowing there’s a real team behind the product who will respond makes a big difference. I’ve used custom code (PHP and CSS), often generated with AI tools, to fine-tune some areas – but honestly, for a plugin this complex that’s not unusual. I’ve rarely seen advanced plugins where I didn’t end up adding at least a few tweaks. From my own background (I worked at Oracle for 18 months while at university. As an associate software engineer, fixing bugs was always part of the learning) I know every serious application has a long list of issues and new releases can introduce new ones. That’s just software. The important thing is that the team is improving the product, listening to users, and providing support – and Amelia is doing that. Overall, I’m very happy to keep using Amelia and I’m confident it will only get better. The developers have my full support.
