Alt Text AI – Automatically generate image alt text for SEO and accessibility

I was actually pleasantly surprised how accurate the alt text is. I’m making a site for an Italian restaurant and it correctly recognizes the food on the dishes, for example, it was even able to figure out that it was egg plants underneath a load of tomato sauce. Will definitely be using this on all my projects. Great job alttext team!!

Very helpful plugin in generating alt texts. Although it needs to always to review them for errors. Many times the text must corrected but it speeds the all process writing alt texts much more than doing it yourself. Definitely recommended!

Disappointed Alt Text AI does nothing if your pics are AVIF format. I’ve converted most images on my site to AVIF (from jpg) since the file size is usually 90% smaller than jpeg (after compression).Webp is much better than jpg. AVIF is way better than webp. I look forward to when Alt Text AI can see an image even if it’s not in jpeg format (or png).
