What It Does

This plugin adds an avatar upload field to user profiles for users with media permissions. It generates requested sizes on demand, similar to Gravatar, ensuring your avatars look great.

To use, simply edit a user profile and scroll down to the new 'Avatar' field. The plugin automatically handles cropping and sizing for you.

Avatars are stored in the 'uploads' folder, just like other media. The interface is simple and native, and it fully supports Gravatar and default avatars if no local avatar is set. You can also disable Gravatar if preferred.

The plugin generates requested avatar sizes on demand and stores them for efficiency. Additionally, you can control whether lower privilege users, such as subscribers and contributors, can upload their own avatars. It also allows for rating local avatars, similar to Gravatar.
