What It Does

MetForm is a drag-and-drop WordPress contact form builder designed as an addon for Elementor. This plugin provides an intuitive real-time form-building experience, allowing users of any expertise level to create professionally designed forms.

With MetForm, users can manage and customize multiple contact forms without any coding. It empowers over 500,000 active users to create a wide range of custom forms, including applications, reservations, and surveys.

The plugin is mobile-friendly and responsive, ensuring that forms look great on all devices. Users can embed forms anywhere and utilize shortcode support for easy customization.

MetForm includes features like conditional logic, multi-step forms, file uploads, and integration with popular services like HubSpot and Mailchimp. It also allows users to export form entries as CSV and manage submissions effectively.

Comparing to Alternatives

MetForm sits in a crowded field of Elementor-friendly form builders. It competes directly with other Elementor-native tools as well as broader form plugins that offer multi-step, quiz, and survey functionality.

Top alternatives

Strengths

Deep, native integration with Elementor's page builder workflow
Supports multi-step forms, quizzes, and surveys out of the box
Highly rated support that users consistently praise as fast and helpful
Simple, intuitive interface even for less technical users

Weaknesses

Long history of security vulnerabilities compared to some competitors
Some users note it installs additional plugins/dependencies alongside itself
Tightly coupled to Elementor, limiting appeal for non-Elementor sites

User Sentiment Analysis

With 504 total ratings and an overall score of 4.7/5, MetForm enjoys strong user approval — 87.3% of reviewers gave 5 stars, and only 6.3% left a 1 or 2 star rating. The tone across recent reviews is overwhelmingly positive, with particular praise for ease of use and support quality.

Positive highlights

Common complaints

Weaknesses

17 recorded vulnerabilities historically, including several high-severity issues like unauthenticated file upload and API key disclosure
A 6.55/10 security risk score reflects a pattern of recurring XSS and authorization flaws over multiple versions
One reviewer flagged unwanted bundled plugin installations as a concern despite giving 5 stars

Who Should Use This?

Best for

MetForm is a strong fit for Elementor users who want to build multi-step forms, quizzes, and surveys without leaving their familiar page-builder workflow. Freelancers and agencies building client sites will appreciate the ease of use and responsive support team.

Not ideal for

Site owners with strict security requirements should proceed cautiously given MetForm's extensive vulnerability history, and should ensure they always run the latest patched version. Those not using Elementor, or looking for a lighter-weight standalone form plugin, may be better served elsewhere.

Pricing & Value

Free version includes

The free version offers solid Elementor-integrated form building with support for basic to moderately complex forms, and users report it performing well even without upgrading.

Pro version (39 - 179 USD / year)

The premium tier typically unlocks advanced features such as multi-step forms, additional field types, payment integrations, conditional logic, third-party integrations (CRM, email marketing), and premium templates.

Final Verdict

MetForm earns its high 4.7-star rating through genuine ease of use, strong Elementor integration, and support that reviewers repeatedly single out as excellent. For Elementor-based sites needing multi-step forms, quizzes, or surveys, it delivers a smooth building experience with minimal friction, and the free version alone satisfies many users.

However, its long track record of vulnerabilities — including high-severity issues like unauthenticated file upload and API key exposure — is a real consideration that shouldn't be ignored, even though all listed issues have been patched. Buyers should keep the plugin updated diligently and weigh this security history against the many capable, security-conscious alternatives in this space like Fluent Forms or JetFormBuilder before committing, especially for sites handling sensitive form data.
