What It Does

Reorder Terms is considered a developer tool. If you do not understand what menu_order or custom queries are, this plugin may not be suitable for you. It serves as an add-on to Reorder Posts and requires Reorder Posts version 2.1.0 or greater.

This plugin takes a unique approach to term reordering. Instead of altering core tables, it utilizes term meta per post type. This allows for the addition of taxonomies to multiple post types, enabling you to reorder terms within each post type attached to the same taxonomy.

Reorder Terms treats terms like pages. Each term in a hierarchy has a term order, facilitating quick reordering and deep traversing to achieve your preferred terms and order.

As a result, you can retrieve reordered terms with an efficient and flexible query.

Features include the ability to reorder terms for each taxonomy within each post type, making it a very flexible solution for developers.

If you enjoy using this plugin, please consider spreading the word by rating it or writing about it.
