What It Does

This plugin adds a subscription checkbox to your WordPress comments form, allowing visitors to subscribe to comments. They will receive email notifications when others comment on the same post. The plugin works automatically upon activation with no required settings.

It focuses on a lightweight footprint and fast page speed, adding no scripts. All settings are optional, ensuring it just works upon activation.

For users switching from other comment subscription plugins, subscribers will be imported automatically. This includes subscriptions from the 'Subscribe To Comments', 'Subscribe To Comments Reloaded', and 'Comment Notifier' plugins.

Optional settings include the ability to unsubscribe users, customize notification emails, set a custom unsubscribe page URL, send a thank you message for first-time commentators, and send copies of each notification to designated emails.

This plugin addresses a major issue with the 'Comment Notifier' plugin by ensuring that only approved comments are subscribed. It prevents spammers from being added to the subscriber list during moderation, reducing server load.

Additionally, it cleans up the 'Comment Notifier' list by removing spammer emails and emptying the Comments Trash and Spam upon activation. The plugin is translation-ready and includes a .pot file for easy translation.
