It works out of the box
It’s my go-to page speed plugin. It has all the functionality you need, and it just works, with minimal setup time.
Does Not serve modern image formats for all
Does not convert .jpg to modern image formats like .webp in all environments
A NIGHTMARE, especially with Divi
With every update of the plugin, the fear begins of what will go wrong this time. I definitely no longer recommend it. The plugin is not properly tested for new features; instead, new features are introduced hastily, prematurely, and completely buggy.
Buyer Beware – Support Now Gone for 12 Days – WTF?
I was impressed enough with the performance and got stellar support initially, and on one site where I only saw a minimal improvement, James from WP Compress actually got into the website and fixed things in a couple of minutes. I was so impressed that I bought the white label version for $499. However, in the middle of the day on May 1st, any replies stopped completely. I’ve followed up now in chat a couple of times, and even tracked down a support@ email, and heard nothing back, a full 12 days later. At this moment we still do have 7 sites using the plugin, but as soon as I get them switched over to something else, I guess I’ll attempt a chargeback on my credit card (still under 60 days) unless I somehow hear from them and they have a valid reason for completely dropping off the face of the earth.
No support the last weeks, contact forms with recaptcha stopped working
i was really into this plugin, canceled wp rocket. but the last weeks the support doesn’t respond anymore and if they do respond, they don’t fix the problem. recaptcha stopped working so all my sites didn’t get contact forms for 2 weeks, massive money loss for my clients.. need to disable WPcompress on all sites, already 2 weeks in support, they didn’t even look at it, send a few reminders. all logo’s are blurry after the compress, asked multiple times to fix this, nothing.. not compatible with SureCart, need to turn off minify JS, which is important for speed. He ‘looked’ into this, turned on the JS and it wasn’t working, so the webshop couldn’t make sales for 2 weeks because he didn’t say he made changes. So i could check myself if everything worked correctly. Client was very angry because he lost a lot of sales. i have 3 other sites with problems with images, waiting for the support to fix the first things.. it’s a messy support system with a chat, so the important things are going to the background google recaptcha takes a huge loading time, it wasn’t with wprocket and it never stopped working after an update, they should do something about this need to test the plugin before releasing updates, normally 3 updates a week, now for 3 weeks no updates and recpatcha need to be fixed soon.. if i know before that the support was this slow and it looks like they are quitting with the plugin, i’ve should stayed with wprocket… clients are angry because the contact form was not working for 2 weeks, a lot of quotes they missed out on.

Fantastic plugin & helpful support
I’ve used WP Compress for a over a month now and safely say it’s truly worthy of 10 stars if I could rate it that. Websites that previously felt like they crawled are now cruising faster than I could have imagined with no maintenance at all. The team is friendly and helpful too when I have any questions or requests. (which I’m definitely not shy to ask)
Really helps our agency!
We’ve tried other performance plugins but nothing has compared with as many agency features as WP Compress. Thank you for fast speeds, unlimited websites and easy management!
THANK YOU!!!
It’s now been a week since installing and my Pagespeed has really improved significantly on all 3 websites. Thank you so much for how easy this is.
