Integrating WPML into our website was a terrible experience. So many issues raised with support (which was slow but ok), only to find more / new bugs. So many hours spent, just to end up with a website which I no longer trust. Next order of business: getting rid of WPML, migrate to other product. The product feels like a house of cards. Too complex, too brittle. I am not one to write bad reviews, but felt I had to in order to help avoid others avoid this product.

WPML and probably due to how wordpress works is absolutely useless! By not having ANY foreign language orders in the Black Friday week is how you find out crutial pages like the checkout page aren’t working!!!! So this plugin cost me a whole lot more than the purchase price. Defenitely worth a 1 star rating.

I don’t think that I have ever experienced a piece of commercial, paid software that was similarly buggy and slow. I find myself writing to their support every week, sometimes multiple times. Most issues get ultimately resolved but some don’t. I cannot count the times that I granted admin access to their staff already. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of choice when it comes to translation plugins for WordPress and once you have chosen one, the vendor lock-in is almost impossible to break. So if you aren’t using wpml for your site already, please don’t. Or else you might come to regret it.
