Works as it should
Works as it should. Here is results and observations: At the login page, using the old name isn’t recognized anymore, when providing the new name it’s ok and can login successfully. The “author username” is still the old one instead of the new, i.e. website.com/author/oldname/ (not website.com/author/newname/). In wpForo forum it’s still recognizes old name “@oldname”, not “@newname”. Anyway, as I tested so far still don’t see any error. Things seem to work ok.
Did not function correctly
This was recommended in jetpack article but it did not work for me. The name (admin) was not changed when I checked it. I then tried to change it with another plugin but it said it was already taken, so I tried going back into this plugin to “update” it back to admin, and it said I could not because it was already taken. To fix the problem….I just created a new admin account with a new email, logged back in, deleted the original admin and then created a new user with the original email address and new name I was trying to update to.
saved me!
works just fine! somehow, one of the editors managed to change the main username of the website (so we ended up with 2 identical usernames for 2 email accounts!!), didn’t wanna touch the DB so this plugin saved me 🙂

Works Great – Maintains Account
This plugin works great for me. I’m able to update the username, yet the user’s account still functions as before with their subscription and settings remaining active/unchanged. Thank you!
