Pricing & Value

Free version includes

The free version provides core post and page view tracking, straightforward display of view counts, and reliable performance for basic use cases — which is likely why the vast majority of reviewers rate it highly without needing to upgrade.

Pro version (29 - 119 USD / year)

A pro version typically extends the plugin with more granular reporting, custom date ranges, advanced widgets, and additional display customization options, though most casual users seem satisfied with the free feature set alone.

Final Verdict

Post Views Counter earns its strong reputation through simplicity and reliability, backed by an impressive 4.9/5 rating across over 1,200 reviews. Users consistently praise its ease of use and the fact that it just works without unnecessary complexity, making it a solid choice for those who want basic view tracking without a learning curve.

That said, prospective users should weigh the plugin's two historical vulnerabilities, both since patched, and ensure they keep it updated. Compared to alternatives like Koko Analytics for privacy-focused stats or Statify for lightweight tracking, Post Views Counter remains a dependable option, particularly for users prioritizing simplicity over advanced analytics features.
