As the name suggests, IP2Location Redirection is a favorite plugin for handling redirection on a website or a custom predefined URL based on country and region geolocated by IP address.

It is a simple yet powerful redirection plugin that helps manage all website redirects, including 301 and 302 redirection. With the ability to detect IP address geolocation information, it can redirect visitors to another location with ease, even if you are unfamiliar with Apache .htaccess files.

Key features include redirecting visitors to a blog page or a predefined URL based on their country and region, configuring multiple redirection rules, supporting 301 and 302 redirection, and supporting both IPv4 and IPv6. It also helps reduce old or broken links and improve SEO site rankings.

This redirection plugin supports both IP2Location IP geolocation BIN data and web service for IP address geolocation lookup. If using the BIN data, you can update it monthly using the wizard on the settings page for accurate results. Alternatively, you can manually download and update the BIN data file.

For using the IP2Location IP geolocation web service (REST API), you need to register an account at IP2Location.io. A free plan is available.
