Does not give what is promised
Unfortunately, the integration of the BuddyPress groups with the LearnDash courses is very limited. This plugin is not able to enroll course group members to the Closed type Course. Those. course group members do not have access to course materials. It would be better if you sync the Lerndash groups with BuddyPress groups. Then all the great features of LearnDash groups would join the functional of the BuddyPress groups and it would be cool. But now neither LearnDash groups nor BuddyPress groups give the desired result.

Activity streams not updating.
When I add a new lesson, it has stopped updating the activity stream on both the group activity stream and the main activity stream. When I add a new topic and update the course, it just continues to load and states the following: BuddyPress for Learndash enrolling users to the course buddypress groups. This can take a while if you have many students(members). Do not navigate away from this page until this is done. The above never completes and just has a loading icon that never ends.

No Longer Maintainted
It seems like this plugin is no longer maintained – last update was 4 years ago. Seems to work okay for me except for on a user’s Buddypress profile page. It messes up the Buddypress styles, and the course tab doesn’t work. There are a bunch of links to courses, but there are two of every single one, and it’s just an ugly list. I’d love for it to just use the Learndash profile shortcode [ld_profile] as that looks much better, but I don’t know where to look to edit this in the plugin file. If anyone knows, I’d appreciate it! Otherwise, 3 stars because yes it works. There are groups for each course, and I have bbpress forums attached to each. But the profile page issues and lack of updated support drop my rating down to 3 stars.
BuddyBoss is a SCAM: They get my money and RUN!!!
I hope people help me spread the word, I’m being SCAM by this company and i have all the proof, you can write me if you need to. This people never answer support, part of their refund policy says 21 days and some 14, so after waiting 15 days for a support reply i ask for my 21 days money-back warranty. And they say “sorry for no reply to you for 15 days, but we have a strict refund policy”. The plugin also offer features who depend on third-party plugins who broke my site, their knowledge base refer to those plugins and even do, they don’t refund. This is a SCAM and everyone should know this.
Good, but not perfect.
It’s a shame they have only looked at this from one angle… from users being on Learndash first and wanting to auto create a group / update one Buddypress group. I really wish this worked the other way – I have buddypress users, in multiple groups and I want to sync buddypress group membership with Learndash groups.
