What It Does

AccessiBe's accessWidget is an AI-powered web accessibility solution that helps make your website accessible and ADA compliant based on WCAG. This service allows you to generate more business and traffic by ensuring your site is accessible to all visitors, including individuals with disabilities.

You can explore accessWidget with a 7-day free trial, no credit card required. Meeting legal requirements under the ADA is crucial for your website's success and reputation.

With accessWidget, your website is adjusted to welcome all visitors. It leverages AI to run an automated audit of your website, identifying and remediating accessibility issues on a code level. This ensures compatibility with assistive technology like screen readers and full keyboard navigation.

AccessWidget is easy to install and automatically scans and remediates inaccessible elements every 24 hours, maintaining ongoing accessibility without the need to touch your source code.

The accessibility interface allows visitors to customize their experience by adjusting design elements such as font size, font types, color contrasts, and animations, enhancing usability for everyone.

Who Should Use This?

Best for

Not ideal for

Users looking for a fully free plugin or those needing guaranteed screen reader compatibility and legal assurance should consider other options due to reported issues and paywall limitations.

Pricing & Value

Free version includes

The free version essentially only includes the plugin installation; all meaningful accessibility features require a paid service connection.

Final Verdict

Web Accessibility by accessiBe offers an automated approach to improving website accessibility with a generally positive user rating. However, its reliance on a paid service and reported issues with screen reader compatibility and legal risks make it a less ideal choice for those seeking a fully free or legally robust solution. Security vulnerabilities have been addressed, but past concerns affect trust.

Users should carefully weigh the plugin's benefits against its weaknesses and consider alternative plugins that may offer better transparency, free features, and proven accessibility compliance. This plugin is best suited for those willing to invest financially and accept some risk in exchange for automation.
