What It Does

Nextend Social Login is a professional and user-friendly WordPress plugin that enables your visitors to register and log in using their social profiles such as Facebook, Google, and X (formerly Twitter). This eliminates the need for users to fill out lengthy registration forms and manage multiple usernames and passwords.

With Nextend Social Login, existing users can easily link or unlink their social accounts through their WordPress profile page. Each user can attach multiple social accounts, allowing for flexible login options.

The plugin offers a seamless integration with your current WordPress login and registration forms, providing a clean and user-friendly interface. It supports customizable designs and allows you to define redirect URLs after registration and login.

Six known vulnerabilities recorded over the plugin's history, including medium-severity CSRF and stored XSS issues found in 2025

Minor edge-case issues, such as fallback URL handling with custom login paths, have been reported even by satisfied users

Who Should Use This?

Best for

This plugin suits WordPress site owners who want a reliable, well-supported way to add social login and registration options without complexity. Its strong reputation for support and ease of use make it a solid choice for both beginners and experienced developers managing multiple client sites.

Not ideal for

Security-conscious administrators should ensure they are running the latest version, given the plugin's history of medium-severity vulnerabilities, some patched as recently as late 2025. Sites with heavily customized login flows (e.g., altered login URLs) may need extra configuration to avoid fallback issues.

Pricing & Value

Free version includes

The free version provides functional social login integration for major platforms, praised by users as working well even without upgrading, making it a genuinely useful starting point.

Pro version (49 - 149 USD / lifetime)

The Pro version typically expands support to additional social networks, advanced customization options, and priority support, appealing to users who want a more complete and polished login experience, as reflected in reviews from customers who moved directly to Pro.

Final Verdict

Nextend Social Login and Register enjoys an excellent reputation, backed by near-unanimous positive feedback and a support team that reviewers repeatedly single out for praise. With no direct alternative in its space and strong free-tier functionality, it's an easy recommendation for most WordPress sites needing social login features.

The main caveat is its security history: six recorded vulnerabilities, including medium-severity issues patched as recently as late 2025, mean administrators should stay diligent about updates. Weighed against its strong support, high satisfaction, and lack of comparable competitors, it remains a solid choice provided users keep the plugin current.
