Who Should Use This?

Best for

Small business owners and agencies wanting a quick, visually polished way to showcase Google reviews on WordPress will likely find this plugin's ease of use and design options appealing, especially for straightforward review-display needs.

Not ideal for

Users wary of trial-to-paid conversions, or those requiring a plugin with a cleaner security history, may want to proceed cautiously given the six documented vulnerabilities and complaints about the free trial period expiring unexpectedly.

Pricing & Value

Free version includes

The free version allows displaying Google reviews with customizable widgets, though several users report it functions as a time-limited trial before prompting for payment.

Pro version (65 - 349 USD / year)

The Pro version reportedly unlocks additional widgets, more review sources, and expanded customization, sold via subscription — a model some users have criticized as expensive compared to one-time-payment alternatives.

Final Verdict

Widgets for Google Reviews earns strong praise for its simplicity and polished presentation, reflected in its 4.9-star average across over 2,600 ratings. Most users find it does exactly what they need with minimal setup friction, and many highlight it as superior to paid alternatives they'd tried previously.

However, the plugin's security history—six vulnerabilities including unauthenticated XSS—combined with recurring complaints about the free trial converting to paid status and recent feature reductions, warrant some caution. Users prioritizing transparency and a cleaner security record may want to compare against alternatives like Site Reviews or Repuso's multi-platform widget before committing.
