What It Does

This plugin allows you to configure XML sitemaps generated by the WordPress core since version 5.5. These sitemaps help search engine crawlers find all URLs quickly and comprehensively.

However, there is no configuration interface available by default. This plugin provides an options page for managing all XML sitemaps created by WordPress.

With WP Sitemaps Config, you can disable XML sitemaps completely, remove sitemaps for public posts, pages, categories, tags, and custom post types, and add important entries like Priority, Change Frequency, and Last Modification Date to each URL. You can also exclude specific posts and pages from the sitemaps and manually set priority and change frequency for each post and page.
