What It Does

This plugin allows users to conveniently close or open comments for any post or page directly from the admin listing of posts and pages. It is designed for users with sufficient privileges, such as admins and post authors for their own posts.

The plugin features an AJAX-powered color-coded indicator that provides instant feedback on the comment status of each post. A green indicator signifies that comments are open, while a red indicator shows that comments are closed. This functionality operates in the background, eliminating the need for page reloads after making changes.

Only administrative users with JavaScript enabled can utilize this plugin effectively. For developers, additional documentation is available, detailing the hooks provided by the plugin for further customization.

FAQ

The commenting status link/button is only clickable if you have JavaScript enabled.

By default, commenting status is represented using the comment bubble dashicon, dashicons-admin-comments. You can change this by filtering c2c_one_click_close_comments_click_char. Here’s an example — added to a theme’s functions.php file — to change it to the original bullet (solid circle) character:

add_filter( 'c2c_one_click_close_comments_click_char', function ( $a ) { return "•"; } );
